Eukaryotic microbe. Usually classified to 3 categories: Yeast, Mildew, Mushroom. And the experimental pipeline of the fungal genome sequencing in BGI is as following:


In 10K microbial genome project, BGI plan to sequence ~10,000 bacterial genomes using the next-generation sequencing technology. Because those species are very important in economic and scientific research, BGI will allocate matching fund and look for collaborators all over the world.
